“Just seeing her joy…As a Mom, that’s all you want – is for your kids to be happy.” – Ranee Stollenwerk
Shea’s story begins back in 2013 when she asked Santa for a new hand for Christmas…and not only did she get her wish for a new mechanical hand…but she has been giving feedback and suggestions for new designs that will help other children all over the World.
The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee shared the above video about Shea’s adventures, the wonderful team working on her hands, the professor that saw a need and knew he could fill it and the E-Nable community that has come together to help not just Shea – but many others.
We hope to see more stories and videos like this – of communities, schools and students – making a difference in the lives of others….one smile…one hand at a time.
