Periodically, e-NABLE runs “Design Challenges”, where volunteers compete to come up with new designs for the community. If you have participated in one of these events, claim your badge!

 


To Request a Badge:

To request a badge, do the following:

  1. Browse through the badges below to find the one you’re looking for
  2. Copy the badge title to your clipboard (or make a note of the exact badge name)
  3. Fill out the badge request form, pasting the badge name into the “Badge being requested” field
  4. Provide links to relevant evidence within the device request form (for device-specific badges, this would be a link to a video and/or photos of your device)
  5. Watch for emails from the e-NABLE Badging team (they may need more information or evidence)

In most cases, you’ll receive your badge within 2-4 days.


Enabling the Future CREATE T.I.M.E. Design Challenge Participant

Description: This badge is awarded to those who have participated in any of the enablingthefuture.org CREATE T.I.M.E. (Think. Imagine. Make. e-NABLE) Design challenges.

Evidence Required: Provide a link to your entry to any of the design challenges hosted on enablingthefuture.org.

#WITHINREACH3DP Design Challenge Participant

Description: This badge is awarded to those that participated in the enablingthefuture.org, Matterhackers, Pinshape and Ultimaker “Within Reach” design challenge (#withinreach3dp) and submitted a 3D printable tool design, created for those who have lost function in their hands due to stroke, accident, genetic conditions or disease.

Evidence Required: A link to your completed design files on Pinshape

#WITHINREACH3DP Design Challenge Honorable Mention

Description: This badge is awarded to those who were awarded “Honorable Mentions” in the enablingthefuture.org, Matterhackers, Pinshape and Ultimaker “Within Reach” design challenge (#withinreach3dp) and created a 3D printable tool specifically for those who have lost function in their hands due to stroke, accident, genetic conditions or disease.

Evidence Required: A link to your winning design on Pinshape.

#WITHINREACH3DP Design Challenge Winner

Description: This badge is awarded to those who had winning designs in the enablingthefuture.org, Matterhackers, Pinshape and Ultimaker “Within Reach” design challenge (#withinreach3dp) and created a 3D printable tool specifically for those who have lost function in their hands due to stroke, accident, genetic conditions or disease.

Evidence Required:
1. A link to your winning design on Pinshape
2. A link to a photo of your winning design

e-NABLE Maker Camp 2017 – Innovator

Description: This badge is awarded to those that particpated in the e-NABLE Maker Camp 2017 design challenge to create working hand and arm designs from items you can find in any household, anywhere around the world!

These designs must have been made completely out of non 3D printed parts and created from the materials list given to them in the challenge and they must prove their design functions for the task they chose to have it complete!

Evidence Required:
1. Show at least 3-5 photos of your build process (Or link to a gallery of images)
2. Share your materials list for your design to show what you used to create it.
3. Show photo or video evidence of your design completing one of the listed tasks from the challenge page: http://enablingthefuture.org/e-nable-maker-camp/
4. Share the first names and ages of the designer or design team that created this design (If this is a parent child team, please share that information too!)
5 If you are interested in entering the drawing for a functional wooden puppet hand, created and designed by Ivan Owen, co-creator of the first 3D printed hand for a child, please fill out the entry form HERE.

Envision the Future – Design Challenge Participant

Description: This badge is awarded to those that participated in the enablingthefuture.org, Matterhackers, Pinshape and Lulzbot 3D printing “Envision The Future” tactile learning tool design challenge.

If you created a design for a tactile learning tool and shared it open-source and free for teachers and families to download, please accept this badge award for your participation!
